Before any treatment commences, a detailed case history (anamnesis) will be taken. This is followed by a physical examination which includes orthopedic, neurological and chiropractic examination procedures.
Should you be in possession of any diagnostic images (e.g. X-ray, CT, MRI) or reports on previous diagnostic findings, please bring them along for your first visit.
After the initial examination, the diagnosis will be given and the potential underlying cause or causes will be explained. The chiropractor will then go over treatment options with you, including the expected duration and frequency of the chiropractic care.
Please bring your own towel! It will be used for covering the treatment bench and allows multiple usages. You thereby make an active contribution to environmental protection.
Take a walk for 15-20 min. This allows the body to adapt to the biomechanical changes made during the treatment. If possible you should avoid lifting and carrying heavy bags, backpacks or purses during this period.
Consider your posture. Poor lifting techniques, uneven biomechanical stress on the body or unfavorable sleeping positions may in fact prolong the treatment process.
Stay well hydrated.
Where applicable, please follow any stretching or exercise programs as instructed by your chiropractor to maximize the treatment effect.
